Doom, a classic among classics. With the crazy screaming demons around every corner, this has to have been one of the most moody and engrossing titles ever. I dare not go see what has become of the Doom film, but I guess whatever way it turns out, it won't subtract from the fact that this game not only introduced the concept of shareware but also defined every first person shooter that was to follow.

Was ground breaking (along with Wolfenstein 3D!)

Worst:

When your in a room full of those big pink demons and you run out of ammo - that just sucks
